THE GO-TO BIKE PANNIER

The Rutt is a medium-sized Rolltop bag. The term 'Rolltop' refers to the fact that the top of the bag is rolled (or folded) closed in order to make a tight, weather-resistant seal. Although it can be carried as a messenger bag or satchel, The Rutt is primarily designed as a bike soft pannier. It comes with 4 brass mounting rings on the back and two vertical 40mm cotton webbing loops to help you attach it to motorcycles, scooters and bicycles. Utilise our K80 and K70 straps for attachment - These are not included and should be ordered according to what you need. The full-length, YKK top zipper means that in a pinch, you can fill the main compartment right to the top. 

It also features a useful leather grab handle that comes in handy when fitting and carrying the RUTT and two thick leather lashing squares on the base. 

As with all Jack Stillman gear, we haven't skimped on the quality of the build or the materials. The outer fabric is 16oz beeswaxed cotton canvas. All hardware is solid brass and the leather belts and trims are genuine, hand finished veg tanned leather.

CANVAS: This product is made from waxed cotton canvas. It’s heavy duty canvas but still needs to you treat it like cotton - not kevlar. To clean, brush off heavy dirt and then wash with warm water. Use mild detergent for a more thorough clean. RE-WAX with Jack Stillman’s Fabric Wax to maintain water-resistance and abrasion resistance. LEATHER: Your leather started out as raw Vegetable Tanned leather before we painted it, burnished the sides and edged it all by hand using Fiebings Leather Products. It has a protective coating applied and is water resistant but the backing is still raw. Protect you leather by keeping it dry and applying a leather conditioner yearly.
